We had a fantastic stay at a hidden gem in Japan. From the speakeasy check-in to the cozy cabins with comfy beds, Book And Bed Tokyo Ikebukuro exceeded our expectations. the space had a cool and inviting ambiance, with a great selection of books and magazines in both English and foreign languages. It was a pleasure to relax on the couches and see other guests engrossed in reading or working on their laptops. the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even keeping our bags for the day while we visited the Ghibli Museum. the location was also excellent, with easy access to the station and plenty of eateries in the area. it was our favorite place to stay in Japan, perfect for decompressing during a long trip. Cons: Hard to think of anything 🤔.

The atmosphere of this place was wonderful! The rooms, tucked away inside real bookshelves, were a unique and cozy experience. I loved the concept of being surrounded by books and it was a dream come true for a book lover like myself. The location was super convenient, with a metro station just steps away, making it easy to explore the city. I also enjoyed the abundance of restaurants and convenience stores in the lively neighborhood of Ikebukuro.
While the concept was amazing, there were a few downsides. The washroom space was a bit dark and cramped, making it slightly uncomfortable.

The concept of this hostel was really interesting and unique. I loved being surrounded by books and it felt like staying in a cozy library. The location was also great, with a Starbucks downstairs and McDonald's opposite. The proximity to Bic Camera and other shops was convenient. Plus, there were free earplugs provided, which was a nice touch for a good night's sleep.
There were some hidden rules that were not mentioned upfront. For example, they did not allow early check-in shower unless you got special approval.

My stay at this unique hotel was definitely worth the money. The room was comfortable and well-designed, with a cozy vibe that made me feel right at home. The location couldn't have been any better, just a minute's walk from the metro station. The staff went above and beyond, even taking us to a temple to celebrate Japanese New Year.
The breakfast offerings could have been better, with more variety and options to choose from.

The check-in process was easy and hassle-free. The hotel had a nice location, close to shops and restaurants. The interior design was lovely and perfect for book lovers. The internet connection was good, which was convenient for staying connected. The hotel provided enough space for baggage and there was a safe right next to the bed, which added to the sense of security. Additionally, the house shoes provided were comfortable.
The air conditioning took a bit of getting used to as it was noisy and the capsules vibrated because of it. The music played until late at night, which could be bothersome for those who prefer to sleep earlier.
